Air Samarkand Opens First Direct Route from Tashkent to Sharm El-Sheikh

Air Samarkand has launched its first nonstop service linking Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, with the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, providing direct air access to one of the Red Sea’s most popular tourist destinations.
The inaugural flight was operated on January 11, according to The Caspian Post, citing Uzbek media.
Announcing the launch, the airline said it is opening the Egypt leisure season in partnership with EasyBooking and Kompas Tour, underscoring its strategy to expand holiday travel options for passengers.
Flights on the Tashkent–Sharm El-Sheikh route will operate once a week, every Sunday, offering travelers from Uzbekistan a convenient direct connection to the resort hub.
