Uzbekistan and Pakistan Discuss Cooperation in Higher Education
ISLAMABAD – The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, met with the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in the academic sector.
The meeting focused on establishing a framework for deeper institutional collaboration between the two nations. Key areas of discussion included: joint academic programs, exchange of students and faculty, development of scientific research, establishment of university branches and mutual recognition of degrees.
Ambassador Tukhtaev highlighted Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a regional educational center. And highlighted the growing opportunities for Pakistani students and researchers within the Uzbek academic system.
