LUMS–SIDA–AAS Announces 20 Selected Scholars for Pilot Writing Workshop in Peshawar

PESHAWAR – The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), in collaboration with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), has announced the selection of participants for the highly anticipated Academic Writing and Critical Thinking Workshop targeted specifically at members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Cohort.

The exclusive workshop, which runs from November 1–9, is a blended program designed to significantly enhance the academic capabilities of the researchers and scholars.

The initiative aims to strengthen participants’ critical thinking and academic writing skills, with a dedicated focus on building coherent arguments, evaluating information rigorously, and writing with clarity, precision, and confidence. Participants are expected to gain practical tools that will enable them to communicate their research effectively and engage meaningfully in scholarly dialogue.

The selection process has concluded, with the organizers congratulating the 20 candidates chosen for the “Pilot Cluster Writing Workshop” in Peshawar.

The program is structured across five sessions, combining online and in-person learning. The first three sessions will be conducted online, taking place on November 1st, 3rd, and 5th. The final two sessions and group presentations will be held in Peshawar on November 8th and 9th. The in-person component will be held at the HEC Training Centre, Peshawar.
