Kyrgyzstan Showcases Tourism Potential at Tashkent Travel Fair

Kyrgyzstan is taking part in the “Silk Road Tourism” Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF), the country’s Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce announced, Kabar reported.

According to the ministry, Kyrgyzstan has been a regular participant in the fair since its inception in 1995. This year’s national stand features 10 domestic travel companies, the Karakol mayor’s office, and two destinations from the Issyk-Kul region, while eight additional Kyrgyz tour operators are also attending. TITF-2025 runs until November 29.

Official figures show that tourists from Uzbekistan make up the largest number of foreign visitors to Kyrgyzstan this year, giving the country’s participation in TITF-2025 added significance.

At the fair, the national stand and representatives from the Department of Tourism are highlighting Kyrgyzstan’s tourism potential and promoting tour packages across all regions, covering the country’s most popular tourism segments. B2B meetings with international partners are also underway.

For the first time, Kyrgyzstan is presenting an updated pavilion design in Tashkent, aimed at enabling more effective engagement with global tourism industry participants.

A large-scale business program is running alongside the exhibition, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Tourism Forum, the Central Asia–European Union Forum, aviation and educational forums, and multiple panel sessions focusing on major trends and innovations in tourism. Special attention is being given to the idea of creating a unified tourism space among the “Five Stans” of Central Asia.

The Silk Road Tourism Awards ceremony will be held on the final day of the fair.

The Department of Tourism expressed gratitude to UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic for its support of the tourism sector, as well as to the Tourism Development Support Fund for technical assistance.

Separately, Kyrgyzstan and Austria have agreed to cooperate in tourism and hotel management.
