This move comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, which complicated the movie’s release in both countries.
Hania Amir, a Pakistani actor, also starred in the film alongside Neeru Bajwa, who has been a consistent lead in the Sardaar Ji series.
Social Media Shift and Film Release Challenges
Neeru’s Instagram no longer features trailers, posters, or promotional content for Sardaar Ji 3.
Instead, her stories heavily promote Son of Sardar 2, a Bollywood film starring Ajay Devgn.
Following political tensions, Indian film associations like FWICE and AICWA protested the casting of Pakistani actors in Indian productions, pushing producers to avoid controversy.
Overseas Release and Mixed Reception
Due to these issues, Sardaar Ji 3 was not released in India but targeted overseas markets instead.
In Pakistan, the film received official approval and has been warmly welcomed by audiences.
Hania Amir shared updates celebrating the film’s release in Pakistan, contrasting with Neeru Bajwa’s distancing from the project on social media.
