Tajikistan’s Exports to Kyrgyzstan Jump Nearly 19 Times

Tajikistan has recorded a dramatic surge in exports to Kyrgyzstan, with shipments increasing almost 19-fold over the past year.
According to reports cited by The Caspian Post via Kyrgyz media, exports to Kyrgyzstan stood at just $475,000 in 2024 but rose sharply to $9 million in the latest reporting period, highlighting a notable expansion in bilateral trade.
Kyrgyzstan is the only member of the Eurasian Economic Union that shares a land border with Tajikistan. Analysts link the steady growth in trade turnover to improved political relations following the signing of a peace agreement and the Declaration of Eternal Friendship between the two neighbors.
More broadly, Tajikistan continued to diversify its external trade, maintaining commercial ties with 124 countries worldwide during the first 11 months of 2025, reflecting its growing integration into regional and global trade networks.
