Turkmen Parliament Speaker Receives Chad’s New Ambassador

Chairwoman of the Turkmen parliament, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, acting on instructions from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has accepted the credentials of Mahamoud Adam Bechir, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad to Turkmenistan.
On behalf of the head of state, Gulmanova congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in advancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
In response, the ambassador thanked the Turkmen side for the warm reception and, conveying greetings from Chad’s leadership, extended best wishes to President Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan.
The meeting included an overview of the structure and work of the Turkmen parliament, its efforts to strengthen national legislation, and the country’s key domestic and foreign policy priorities. It was подчеркed that Turkmenistan is keen to broaden cooperation with countries worldwide, including those on the African continent.
Both sides also exchanged views on prospects for expanding ties in areas of mutual interest. The ambassador noted that it was a great honor to represent Chad in neutral Turkmenistan, known for its peaceful policies and constructive international initiatives, and pledged to work toward further deepening relations between the two nations.
