Most Uzbek Women Marry Between 20 and 30, Official Data Shows

The majority of women in Uzbekistan enter marriage between the ages of 20 and 30, according to official statistics.

Data show that 177,017 marriages were registered nationwide from January to September 2025, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

More than half of the women who married during this period—94,765, or 53.5 per cent—were aged between 20 and 30, making this the largest age group among newlyweds.

At the same time, early marriage remains widespread. A total of 65,078 women, or 36.8 per cent, married before the age of 20.

By contrast, marriages at older ages were far less common. Among women aged 31 to 40, 13,137 marriages were recorded, accounting for 7.4 per cent, while only 4,037 marriages, or 2.3 per cent, involved women aged 41 and above.

Overall, the figures indicate that most Uzbek women start families at a relatively young age, with marriages after 30 remaining comparatively rare.
