Cyclone to Blanket Kazakhstan with Snow, Blizzards and Hazardous Conditions

A cyclone and accompanying atmospheric fronts will affect most regions of Kazakhstan on January 6, bringing widespread snowfall and blizzard conditions.

According to forecasts, heavy snow is expected in the northern parts of the country, while western regions will see rain mixed with snow, leading to difficult travel conditions, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

The southwestern and southern areas are expected to remain largely dry, with no significant precipitation forecast.

Meteorologists have also cautioned residents about fog, icy roads, and strong winds across much of the country, urging both drivers and pedestrians to remain alert as harsh winter weather sets in.
