Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine Hold High-Level Talks on Global Issues and Bilateral Ties
Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov has met with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Valeriy Zhovtenko to discuss key international policy issues.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current state of Kyrgyzstan–Ukraine relations and exchanged views on a range of matters of mutual interest, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
The Kyrgyz side reaffirmed its firm and consistent position on the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing the need for a swift end to the bloodshed and expressing support for international negotiating initiatives aimed at achieving a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, with humanitarian considerations given priority.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides confirmed their commitment to maintaining regular working contacts and continuing constructive cooperation.
