Iran, Uzbekistan Explore New Industrial Partnership at Chirchik Technopark

An Iranian delegation has paid a working visit to Uzbekistan’s Chirchik Chemical-Industrial Technopark, focusing on expanding industrial and investment cooperation and sharing best practices in the management of special economic zones.

The delegation included Amin Ofoghi, Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Mazandaran Free Economic Zone, representatives of Iranian businesses, and staff members of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The visit aimed to exchange experience in the development and administration of special economic zones and to identify concrete opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in industry and investment. The technopark’s management and specialists presented the zone’s key advantages, outlining available tax and customs incentives and the range of preferences offered to investors.

As part of the program, the Iranian guests toured enterprises operating within the technopark, enabling them to assess business conditions and the level of industrial development on site.

Such working visits are viewed as an important step toward strengthening international economic ties and opening new avenues for attracting foreign investment.
