Medical Tourism Booms as Nearly 76,000 Foreigners Seek Treatment in Uzbekistan

Up to 75,666 foreign nationals traveled to Uzbekistan for medical treatment during the first ten months of this year, according to the country’s National Statistics Committee, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing UzA.
Between January and October 2025, Uzbekistan received 53,045 medical tourists from Tajikistan, 13,038 from Kyrgyzstan, 6,979 from Kazakhstan, 1,709 from Russia, 533 from Afghanistan, and 215 from Turkmenistan. Smaller numbers arrived from Türkiye (43), the United States (15), China and Azerbaijan (14), as well as 65 patients from other countries.
Officials note that Uzbekistan continues to attract a rising number of international patients due to the expansion of medical services and improved access to healthcare across the country.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Uzbekistan welcomed 9.7 million tourists overall in the first ten months of 2025.
