US and Iran Considering Another Round of Face-to-Face Talks: Reports

ISLAMABAD (Monitoring-BBC Urdu):- According to news agencies, the United States and Iran are considering another round of face-to-face negotiations. Bloomberg, the American financial and business news outlet, reported that this round of talks will take place before the expiration of a two-week ceasefire period.

Bloomberg quoted individuals familiar with the matter stating that various locations, including Islamabad, are being considered for the second round of negotiations.

Meanwhile, Associated Press (AP) News, citing two U.S. officials and a person familiar with the progress, reported that the U.S. and Iran are weighing the possibility of face-to-face talks to reach a new agreement. According to AP News, all three sources confirmed that discussions regarding another round are ongoing. A diplomat from a mediating country even claimed that Tehran and Washington have already agreed to new negotiations. Alongside Islamabad, Geneva is also under consideration. While the final decision on time and location has not been reached, the talks could take place as early as Thursday. Both Bloomberg and AP News noted that their sources provided information on the condition of anonymity. The American news website Axios, citing a regional source and a U.S. official, reported that mediators from Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey will continue their dialogue with the U.S. and Iran. The goal is to bridge differences and reach an agreement to end the conflict.
