Tajikistan will host five major international conferences covering food production, textiles, artificial intelligence, mining and metallurgy, and the coal industry during the second half of 2026.
The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan has invited international companies, investors, financial institutions and business partners to participate in the high-level forums, which will be held in the capital, Dushanbe.
The Food Industry Forum will take place on August 20 and 21, followed by the International Textile Forum on September 22 and 23. An international conference on artificial intelligence will be held on October 30 and 31.
The International Mining and Metallurgy Forum is scheduled for November, while the International Coal Industry Forum will take place in December 2026.
The events form part of Tajikistan’s broader efforts to attract foreign investment, expand industrial cooperation and introduce modern technologies across key sectors of the economy.
Industrialisation is among the country’s highest national priorities under its Strategy for Accelerated Industrial Development. Industrial output has more than doubled in recent years, reaching 66.7 billion somoni in 2025.
Official figures show that Tajikistan recorded real industrial growth of 22.1 per cent in 2025. During the same year, 396 new industrial enterprises and workshops were established, creating more than 2,400 jobs.
The government says Tajikistan offers significant competitive advantages to international investors, including an energy system in which 98 per cent of electricity is generated from renewable hydropower.
Investors are also offered more than 240 guarantees and incentives, including 110 tax and customs benefits.
The country operates five special economic zones offering extensive tax exemptions. Annual land-lease rates in these zones begin at one US dollar per square metre.
Tajikistan’s strategic location connecting Central Asia with China and South Asia is also being promoted as a major advantage for regional trade, transport and industrial investment.
The government has introduced a state investment programme worth 15.7 billion US dollars for 2026–2030, aimed at accelerating infrastructure development, industrial expansion, employment creation and international economic cooperation.
The five upcoming forums are expected to provide platforms for business-to-business meetings, investment discussions, technological partnerships and cooperation between Tajikistan and international industry leaders.
