Dar, Iranian FM Discuss Regional Situation
Pakistan Urges Immediate De-escalation
Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, received a telephone call from the Foreign Minister of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, to discuss the evolving situation in Iran and the broader regional context, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X.
The statement said both leaders reviewed recent developments and exchanged views on the regional security environment. Senator Dar strongly condemned what he described as unwarranted attacks against Iran and stressed the need for an immediate halt to escalating tensions.
He emphasized the importance of urgently resuming diplomatic efforts to achieve a peaceful and negotiated resolution to the crisis, underscoring Pakistan’s support for dialogue and stability in the region.
