A Historic Project: “Babur Park” to Be Established in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD:- The initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a unique “Babur Park” will be established in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. This park will serve as a heartfelt gift from the people of Uzbekistan to the brotherly people of Pakistan.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan organized a visit of an official delegation led by the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Sherzod Khidoyatov, who held discussions with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and experts on the project.

The 2.5-hectare park in F-7 sector, Islamabad, will feature modern walking avenues, fountains, sports and children’s playgrounds, and a traditional Uzbek teahouse. A bust of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, the founder of the Mughal dynasty, will be installed at the park’s heart.

“Babur Park” will symbolize the shared history, cultural affinity, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
