World Cup Glory Arrives in Tashkent as FIFA Trophy Tour visits Uzbekistan

The magic of world football is set to captivate Uzbekistan as the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola arrives in Tashkent on January 28, offering fans a rare opportunity to see the sport’s most prestigious prize ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

This is the sixth global Trophy Tour organised by The Coca-Cola Company in partnership with FIFA. Over the years, the initiative has taken the authentic FIFA World Cup Trophy to hundreds of thousands of fans, visiting 182 of FIFA’s 211 member associations worldwide.

The stop in Tashkent holds special significance. For the first time in its history, Uzbekistan has qualified for the FIFA World Cup, making the Trophy’s arrival a symbolic celebration of a landmark achievement for the nation’s football. The event in the capital is being held with the support of the Uzbekistan Football Association.

“The FIFA World Cup Trophy is the greatest symbol in sport,” said FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai, noting that the current tour is especially meaningful as it marks the 20th anniversary of the Trophy Tour and builds momentum toward the largest World Cup ever, to be hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The tour officially began on January 3, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will travel to 30 countries. Since its launch, more than four million fans around the world have taken part in the experience, bringing generations together through a shared passion for football.

“We are excited to bring fans even closer to the heart of the game,” said Michael Viner, Vice President of Global Assets, Influencers and Partnerships at Coca-Cola. “In Uzbekistan, fans will be able to experience the emotion and atmosphere of football up close.”

Fans in Tashkent will also have a chance to win exclusive opportunities by purchasing selected Coca-Cola, Fanta, or Sprite products, entering the code found under the cap via the Telegram bot @uzcocacolabot, and participating in a promotional draw. Prizes include unique experiences and the possibility of a trip to the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Crafted from solid gold and weighing 6.175 kilograms, the original FIFA World Cup Trophy has been awarded to champions since 1974 and remains FIFA’s property. While only a select few are permitted to touch it, the Trophy Tour gives fans a rare chance to come face-to-face with football history.

A long-standing FIFA partner since 1976, Coca-Cola continues to bring the world’s most coveted trophy closer to fans, building anticipation for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and celebrating the unifying power of the game.
