Kazakh, Uzbek FMs Review 2025 Gains, Eye Deeper Partnership

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation to review key developments in bilateral relations.

During the call, the ministers summed up the results of the outgoing year, noting the steady strengthening of the Kazakh-Uzbek strategic partnership and allied relations, and discussed prospects for further expanding bilateral cooperation, The Caspian Post reported, citing the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

Special attention was given to the practical implementation of agreements reached following the state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan to Tashkent in November.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing multifaceted cooperation across political, trade and economic, transport and logistics, water and energy, as well as cultural and humanitarian sectors.

The ministers also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues and reviewed the schedule of upcoming international events.
