Tashkent to Host Third EU–Central Asia Economic Forum on Nov. 26

ASTANA: The third EU–Central Asia Economic Forum will be held in Tashkent on Nov. 26, bringing together representatives of the EU and its member states, Central Asian governments, private sector leaders from both regions, international financial institutions, and other global organizations.

Serving as a key platform for EU–Central Asia cooperation under the EU’s Global Gateway initiative, the forum will focus on expanding economic partnerships to support shared prosperity and sustainable growth. According to the European Commission’s press service, discussions will center on improving the business environment, enhancing trade and transport connectivity, advancing regional integration, strengthening competitiveness through skills development, and developing sustainable, responsible value chains for critical raw materials.

The event will be linked to the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and Connectivity Investors Forum, scheduled for the following day, which aims to further boost regional transport links.

Previous editions of the EU–Central Asia Economic Forum were held in Bishkek in 2021 and Almaty in 2023, organized in partnership with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Trade Center (ITC).
