Tourism Boom: Uzbekistan Welcomes Nearly 12 Million Foreign Visitors in 2025

Uzbekistan recorded one of its strongest tourism surges in recent years in 2025, welcoming 11.7 million foreign visitors—a sharp rise from the previous year.
The number of international travelers entering the country for tourism purposes increased by 3.7 million, or 46.8 percent year-on-year, marking one of the fastest growth rates in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Central Asian countries continued to dominate inbound travel flows. Kyrgyzstan led with 3.3 million visitors, followed by Tajikistan and Kazakhstan with 2.7 million tourists each. Russia ranked fourth, contributing 984,400 visitors.
Uzbekistan also saw a notable rise in arrivals from Afghanistan, which accounted for 476,700 tourists in 2025, while 370,000 visitors came from Turkmenistan.
Among non-CIS countries, China topped the list with 278,900 visitors, followed by Türkiye with 174,900 and India with 80,800. The Republic of Korea also emerged as a key source market, sending 46,300 tourists to Uzbekistan during the year.
