Kazakhstan Sets January 13 Cabinet Meeting to Tackle Water Management Challenges

Kazakhstan’s government will hold its regular meeting on January 13 at 10:00 a.m., placing the spotlight on the country’s water future.
According to The Caspian Post, citing Kazakh media, ministers are expected to deliberate on measures to improve water supply and drainage systems, promote water-saving technologies, and expand the use of digital solutions in the sector.
The discussions come amid rising demand for more efficient water management nationwide.
A press conference will follow the meeting, featuring Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov and Vice Minister of Industry and Construction Kuandyk Kazhkenov, who are expected to brief the media on key decisions and future steps.
Previously, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation announced plans to complete the development of a national water resources information system by the end of 2025, a move aimed at strengthening digital management of Kazakhstan’s water assets.
