Turkmenistan, Russia Step up Customs Ties with 2026–2028 Action Plan Talks

A delegation of the Turkmen State Customs Service, led by Deputy Chairman Muhammedgeldy Muhammedov, has paid a working visit to the Russian Federation to review the current state of bilateral customs cooperation and explore future prospects.

During the visit, discussions focused on the preparation and coordination of a Joint Action Plan for 2026–2028 between Russia’s Federal Customs Service and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.

The proposed plan aims to expand cooperation in key areas, including digitalization, information exchange, and law enforcement collaboration.

As part of the program, the Turkmen delegation toured the Electronic Declaration Center of the Moscow Customs, the Russian Customs Academy, and the Canine Training Center of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, gaining firsthand exposure to modern customs practices and infrastructure.
