Rainy Days and Golden Crumbles: Ambassador Alex Swaps Fika for Samosas

ISLAMABAD:- While Islamabad traded its usual sunshine for a rhythmic downpour this week, the Swedish Embassy decided to trade its traditional coffee breaks for something a bit more local—and a lot more deep-fried.

In a charming nod to Pakistani culture, Ambassador Alexandra Berg von Linde (affectionately known as Ambassador Alex) was spotted leaning into the “monsoon mood.” Rather than reaching for a Swedish cinnamon bun, the Ambassador opted for the quintessential South Asian rainy-day companion: crispy, piping hot samosas.

The Embassy shared the cozy moment on their official Facebook page, highlighting that whether you prefer tea or coffee, the real magic lies in taking a moment to enjoy the break. The post, captioned with both English and Urdu, perfectly captured the “Smiling Heart” vibe of a rainy capital afternoon.

“Whether it’s tea or coffee, the fun is in enjoying the break!” the Embassy shared, proving that some comforts are universal, regardless of which flag flies outside your window.
