World Bank Forecasts Solid 6.5% Growth for Kyrgyzstan in 2026

Kyrgyzstan’s economy is expected to sustain strong growth in 2026, underpinned by robust domestic demand, rising investment, and increased government spending.
Bakyt Dubashov, Senior Economist at the World Bank Group, said internal economic stimulus will continue to serve as the main driver of expansion, Kyrgyz media reported, citing The Caspian Post.
Private consumption, investment activity, and expanded public expenditure are all expected to play a central role in supporting economic growth.
“Our forecasts are based on the assumption that economic activity will be sustained by domestic factors,” Dubashov said. “In the real sector, growth will be driven by industry, construction, and services.”
The World Bank projects Kyrgyzstan’s economy to grow by around 6.5 per cent in 2026, pointing to continued resilience and positive momentum despite external uncertainties. The outlook underscores confidence in the country’s domestic economic dynamics and its ability to maintain growth across key sectors.
