Almaty Police Dismantle Online Drug Network, Arrest 11 in Major Sting

Law enforcement officers in Almaty have shut down an online drug store that operated a contactless narcotics distribution network across the city and surrounding region.
According to police, 11 members of the criminal group were detained during investigative operations. Those arrested include the organizers, online sales operators, and individuals responsible for managing the financial side of the illegal scheme, The Caspian Post reported, citing Kazakh media.
Authorities seized approximately three kilograms of synthetic drugs from illegal circulation. Communication devices, bank cards, and digital storage media used to coordinate the operation were also confiscated.
Investigators said the group relied on an online storefront and contactless delivery methods to distribute narcotics — a tactic increasingly used by organized networks to avoid direct interaction and evade law enforcement detection.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched as officials work to determine the full extent of the operation and identify any additional suspects.
