ISLAMABAD:- H.E. Ambassador Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba has paid a courtesy call on H.E. Khalid Hussain Magsi, Federal Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for Science and Technology, at his office in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed on strengthening bilateral cooperation by working out a joint framework to implement the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ethiopiaโ€™s Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MoIT) and Pakistanโ€™s Ministry of Science and Technology.

Ambassador Dr. Oumer H. Oba underscored the importance of initiating joint scientific research, specialized training, and technology transfer, specifically focusing on the agriculture, manufacturing, and ICT sectors.

The Federal Minister reaffirmed his commitment to advancing ties with Ethiopia, noting the countryโ€™s strategic importance in Pakistanโ€™s โ€œLook Africaโ€ and โ€œEngage Africaโ€ policies.
