Centrum Air to Commence Operations from Lahore, Strengthening Pakistan-Uzbekistan Connectivity
ISLAMABAD: — Centrum Air, in partnership with Gerry’s Group, has announced the launch of its inaugural flight from Lahore on April 21, 2026. The commencement of these operations marks a practical expansion of transport links between Pakistan and Central Asia, aligning with the strategic goals recently outlined by the governments of both nations to enhance bilateral logistics and commercial exchange.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, underscored the significance of this development, stating that the airline will establish new avenues for the bilateral relationship in terms of trade, industrial cooperation, culture, and tourism. The Ambassador noted that direct air connectivity serves as a vital component in realizing the economic potential of the region, providing a streamlined mechanism for business delegations and the movement of goods.
The launch follows a series of diplomatic efforts led by Ambassador Tukhtaev to prioritize the modernization of transport corridors. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to meet bilateral trade targets and facilitate closer institutional ties.
The inaugural flight ceremony is scheduled to take place at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, between 5:30 AM and 8:30 AM. This development is expected to provide more efficient travel options for tourists and commercial entities, further utilizing Pakistan’s position as a regional transit hub while strengthening the direct link between the markets of Tashkent and Lahore.
