Japarov Inspects $5m Fish Feed Plant as Kyrgyzstan Boosts Aquaculture Drive

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has visited the Tian-Shan Trout LLC fish feed production plant in the Chui region, underscoring the government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s aquaculture sector.

Built on a seven-hectare site in just eight months, the facility represents an investment of around $5 million. Once fully operational, it is expected to produce between 100 and 130 tons of fish feed per day, The Caspian Post reported, citing Kyrgyz media.

According to company director Ilgiz Saryldyk uulu, the plant will generate 100 to 120 permanent jobs, fully meet domestic demand for fish feed, and create new opportunities for export growth.

During his visit, President Japarov emphasized the need for strict and continuous compliance with quality standards, noting that high product quality is vital for the sustainable development of fish farming and for enhancing the competitiveness of Kyrgyz products in regional and international markets.
