Uzbekistan–Pakistan Business Forum in Karachi Marks New Chapter in Strategic Partnership

Uzbekistan–Pakistan Business Forum was held in Karachi, jointly organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan and Pakistan’s leading pharmaceutical company, Getz Pharma, bringing together more than 150 representatives from the business communities of both countries. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Khalid Mahmood, CEO of Getz Pharma, for his support, professionalism, and valuable contribution to the successful organization of the event. During the forum, participants were introduced to the extensive economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with new tax and customs incentives, investment opportunities, industrial potential, and promising sectors of cooperation, including energy, petrochemicals, IT, healthcare, tourism, and agriculture. It was highlighted that, thanks to the strong political will of both nations’ leadership, relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan have reached the level of a strategic partnership, while the trust and engagement between entrepreneurs are expanding rapidly. The event featured presentations on Uzbekistan’s business and investment environment, productive B2B interactions, and the signing of memorandums of cooperation between interested companies from both sides. Important agreements were also reached on organizing a major Pakistani business mission to Uzbekistan in February 2026, accelerating efforts to establish the Uzbekistan–Pakistan Industrial Zone in the Khorezm region, and expanding industrial cooperation and logistics connectivity. The forum once again demonstrated the vast economic potential between the two brotherly countries and reinforced their shared commitment to unlocking new opportunities for the prosperity of both nations.
