Kyrgyzstan Ranks 75th in Global Passport Power Index

Kyrgyzstan has placed 75th in the latest Henley & Partners Passport Power Index, reflecting the level of travel freedom available to its citizens and positioning the country alongside Uzbekistan in the global rankings.
Henley & Partners has released its updated World Passport Index 2026, which assesses global travel mobility using data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
The index evaluates more than 100 passports worldwide, ranking them by the number of destinations their holders can enter visa-free or with a visa on arrival.
Within Central Asia, Kazakhstan holds the strongest passport, ranking 61st globally and offering visa-free access to 78 countries. Kyrgyzstan ranks 75th, sharing the position with Uzbekistan, and provides access to 61 destinations. Compared to 2025, Kyrgyzstan has dropped two places from its previous 73rd ranking.
Elsewhere in the region, Tajikistan placed 81st with access to 54 countries, while Turkmenistan ranked 87th, allowing visa-free travel to 47 destinations.
Globally, Singapore retained the top position, granting access to 192 countries. Japan and South Korea followed, each offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 188 destinations.
The Henley & Partners Passport Index is widely recognized as a key measure of global mobility, ranking countries solely on the number of destinations their citizens can access without obtaining a visa in advance, underscoring the impact of diplomatic relations and visa policies on international travel freedom.
