Uzbekistan Calls for Strategic Roadmap with Eurasian Development Bank

Uzbekistan has proposed jointly defining strategic partnership priorities and developing a cooperation roadmap with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) in connection with the country’s accession to the institution, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, The Caspian Post reports.

He said the proposed document should focus on priority infrastructure and “green” projects, along with measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises.

The president stressed that the EDB could play a broader role than that of a financing source alone, serving as an important mechanism for attracting investment into integration projects.

Mirziyoyev also reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to expanding a comprehensive and mutually beneficial partnership with the Eurasian Economic Union.
