Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia Advance New Investment Push in Agriculture

TASHKENT: Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have outlined fresh opportunities for partnership in the agricultural sector, Trend reports citing Uzbekistanโ€™s Ministry of Agriculture.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Agriculture Alisher Shukurov and a Saudi delegation headed by Abdullah Al Muhaidib, Investment Director at Al Muhaidib Group.

Both sides examined prospects for expanding Saudi participation in Uzbekistanโ€™s agricultural industries, including the adoption of modern irrigation technologies and the development of feed and edible oil production.

Preliminary understandings were reached on launching new investment projects and moving them toward practical implementation.

According to officials, the meeting represents a significant step in reinforcing bilateral cooperation and shaping concrete projects, opening a new phase in economic engagement between the two countries.
