Uzbekistan Calls for Strategic Roadmap with Eurasian Development Bank

Uzbekistan has proposed jointly defining strategic partnership priorities and developing a cooperation roadmap with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) in connection with the countryโ€™s accession to the institution, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, The Caspian Post reports.

He said the proposed document should focus on priority infrastructure and โ€œgreenโ€ projects, along with measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises.

The president stressed that the EDB could play a broader role than that of a financing source alone, serving as an important mechanism for attracting investment into integration projects.

Mirziyoyev also reaffirmed Uzbekistanโ€™s commitment to expanding a comprehensive and mutually beneficial partnership with the Eurasian Economic Union.
